Salary

As of January 1, 2023 the base salaries for the Diagnostic Radiology residents are as follows:

  • PGY2: $66,480

  • PGY3: $68,480

  • PGY4: $70,480

  • PGY5: $72,480 

Residents are paid bi-weekly for 26 pay periods per year. Direct deposit for your paycheck is available.

  • 20 days of PTO each academic year, which can be taken as individual days. Does not carry over and remaining days are paid out at the end of the academic year.  

  • Holiday coverage required only during R1 year, which is split amongst the R1 residents. 

  • Annual Education Stipend of $2000 which can be used to cover the CORE exam and one electronic device (over the course of the four years). 

  • Employee Assistance Program: 3 free counseling sessions provided for a variety of personal issues to help achieve a positive work/life balance. 

  • Resident lounge with regularly stocked beverages and snacks

  • Resident call rooms with bed, toilet, and shower facilities 

  • Free parking available across the street from the hospital 

  • Two personalized white coats are provided 

  • Meals at no cost are provided to the resident in the cafeteria. A resident can spend a maximum of 10 dollars per meal, breakfast and lunch.
